Understanding the biochemical changes in metabolism between healthy and disease states aim at providing better prediction models for disease progression and associated treatments. The metabolomics platform offers comprehensive high throughput characterization of small molecules (small molecules up to 1500da) that are either intermediates or end points of a given metabolic pathway extracted from tissues, tissue culture, and biofluids. The analytical expertise is supported by technologies such as: ultra high-pressure liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (UPLC/MS), gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC/MS), and High Resolution Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR).
